Sailing The Bach is easy
Sailing a catamaran is a different experience to a monohull. It's made easy on The Bach with a stack packed mainsail and roller reefing jib, with all lines coming back to the helm. Her two engines make her very manoeuvrable in tight spaces, and offer redundancy in emergencies.
Mainsail
The mainsail on The Bach is large and powerful. It is raised using an electric winch, and the halyard and sheets all come back to the helm for easy operation.
The mainsail has three reefing points, and it's important to adhere to the reefing schedule to avoid overpowering the boat.

Roller jib
The jib is the sail used most often. The Bach travels comfortably particularly downwind with just this foresail up. Easy to unfurl and furl from the cockpit, with three reefing positions making it extremely versatile.
It's also useful to complement the engines when motorsailing in light winds.
